9. Will Goldberg Vs. Lesnar Be Better Than Their Match At WrestleMania XX?
It will, surely, but not by a great margin. While fans are (understandably) a lot happier to see this match than they were at WrestleMania XX - when both men were known to be leaving the company - Goldberg vs. Lesnar still isn't a recipe for success, for various reasons.
Firstly, the pair are not a natural match. Both have made a career of steamrolling opponents, and while Brock may have enjoyed his fair share of excellent back-and-forth encounters, Goldberg is far less versatile. Back in the car-crash days of the Monday Night Wars, he was an exciting superhero of a babyface - an unstoppable bulldozer who dealt with opponents in short, destructive order.
These days, fans are far hungrier for good wrestling, and I simply don't think the pair are built for one another. It's also important to consider Goldberg's extended time away from the ring (it's been over a decade since his last match), and Lesnar's less-than-motivated demeanour since his feud with Undertaker ended.
For what it's worth, I spoke about this to Adam Blampied and he disagrees. He feels that Brock often follows up a disappointing match with a good one - as seen in that series of matches with the Deadman - and that he'll be hungry to set the record straight after 'Mania XX.
