10 WWE Quick Fixes To Save Finn Bálor

5. Burn Him Down

For a man returning from a lengthy lay-off, Finn Bálor hasn't spent near enough time dwelling on what his injuries cost him. Furthermore, for a wronged wrestler, he's spent even less tackling the root source of his absence.

A creative cul-de-sac the writers chose not to steer into in light of Seth Rollins' babyface turn, it was indeed a challenge to keep both men heroes upon Bálor's return had he wished to target 'The Kingslayer'. But it was a challenge the company should have tackled, and a failure to do so has again presented Finn as a pushover.

Rollins has spent much of his turn atoning for his prior sins, including expressing regret at ever siding with Triple H and desperately trying to win the approval of former Shield comrade Dean Ambrose. It's been a rewarding arc that has done far more to solidify the intentions and motivations of Seth than his empty challenge at Kevin Owens' title late last year.

Finn hasn't been given such a courtesy. There's still time for him to unleash a different type of inner demon on Seth, with inbuilt motivation and a logical reason for him to snap. It would also remove an air of mediocrity that really shouldn't exist around a former Champion.
