10 WWE Returns Everyone Asked For (Which Ended Up Sucking)
5. Shawn Michaels
For the longest time, it seemed as though Shawn Michaels was going to comfortably sit as the exception that proved the rule when it came to wrassler's going back on a retirement stipulation.
It didn't matter how hard we screamed for HBK to don the chaps one more time for dream showdowns with the likes of AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, and Finn Balor, this Sexy Boy was happy leaving the superkicks to the next generation.
Then, in a turn of events that just about nobody saw coming, Mr. WrestleMania was finally convinced to tune up the band again by DX pal Triple H (and a boatload of Saudi dollar) in order to see off the Brothers of Destruction at Crown Jewel 2018. And though fans were anxiously hoping for a showing worthy of one of the greatest of all time in this totally-100%-this-is-it retirement showcase, a comedy of errors in the searing heat had other ideas.
Kane's mask doing a runner, Trip's pec trying to escape his person, and Michaels landing flat on his head post-moonsault all highlighted how bad an idea this was all along, and how sometimes it's better to just leave the memories alone.
