10 WWE Royal Rumble 2019 Nightmares That Could Come True
2. The Show Runs Too Long
Nightmare: It was mentioned in the WWE Title entry earlier, and it's worth repeating. This year's Royal Rumble has nine matches on the card, seven of which will take place on the main show. Although that's the same number as last year all in, 2018 had three bouts on the Kickoff compared to 2019's two.
This could be problematic.
Chances Of It Coming True: The Rumble will feel like a marathon, not a sprint. WWE pay-per-views are excellent value for money now (for Network subscribers), and yet they do drag on at times. If 2018's Rumble ran for over four hours with one less match to worry about, then imagine how long 2019's could be.
This was avoidable. Some of the matches, like Ronda Rousey vs. Sasha Banks, feel like they didn't need to happen at all, and there's a chance their inclusion will hurt the Rumble's flow. Nobody wants to criticise WWE for giving fans more content, but common sense should have prevailed on this occasion.
