Nightmare: This is more of a nightmare from Batista's perspective than anyone else's. Imagine he roared out as a late entrant in the 2019 Rumble and experienced the same kind of apathy he did five years ago; that may be enough to make the man break. He was already super-p*ssed about fans favouring Daniel Bryan back then.

Chances Of It Coming True: Five years is a long time in wrestling, and so much has happened since big Dave looked foolish in Pittsburgh. There's been some audience turnover, and he's become a bigger star in Hollywood. Both points may help his cause and make a Rumble cameo (even one littered with eliminations and the threat he could win) worthwhile.

Movie star fame or not though, Batista isn't someone most fans would accept as a Rumble winner. People crave someone fresh, someone with weekly momentum, not a returning legend who's blatantly only there to work an Evolution retread with Triple H.
