Bayley and Sasha Banks are real-life best friends but the best of enemies in the ring. The duo has given us classic matches such as their Iron Woman match at NXT TakeOver: Respect, and recent Hell in a Cell match at Hell in a Cell 2020. These bouts also have proved that both women could be successful occupying either the face or heel role in their feud.

When the two met at Royal Rumble 2018, they appeared to be on the same page, targeting the other competitors in the match. Every woman in the ring teamed together to eliminate Nia Jax, in that classic Rumble spot where maths dictates that one giant body can only be defeated by a group of smaller bodies. While all the women were recuperating from the effort, Banks seized Bayley and swiftly through her over the top rope.

The suddenness and sneakiness of the elimination was shocking, only added to by Charlotte Flair’s open-mouthed astonishment as she sat ringside. Banks shouted down to Bayley “That’s why I’m The Boss”, before resuming to be the match’s iron woman run, lasting close to 55 minutes.
