10 WWE Royal Rumble Betrayals You Didn't See Coming
4. Daniel Bryan Eliminates Kane (2013)
Team Hell No were one of the most popular tag teams of the 2010s. Daniel Bryan had become a pessimistic misanthrope after being (kayfabe) dumped at the altar by AJ Lee, who then as Raw GM continued to make his life miserable. After an initial feud with Kane, Bryan found support in 'The Devil's Favorite Demon'.
The two were fire in the ring, and capable of hilarious backstage segments, in particular their time spent in anger management.
On the night of Royal Rumble 2013, the team had already defended their Tag Team Championships against Team Rhodes Scholars (Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow), before the two shared a ring in the Rumble match. They worked together to eliminate The Great Khali. When Kane lingered to stare down at his fallen opponent, Bryan used the distraction to throw his fellow Tag Team Champion over the top rope.
‘The Big Red Machine’ wouldn’t have to wait for his revenge. As Bryan taunted him from the ring, Cesaro snook up and knocked him to the outside. ‘The American Dragon’ initially thought he was saved when Kane caught him like a baby. Despite Bryan begging, Kane threw his partner to the ground.
