A section of fans get excited every year about the thought of nostalgia pops. They want to see returning legends (like Kevin Nash as Diesel in 2011 or Lita in 2018) take a quick whirl during these Rumbles. What people don't want to see? Announcers chewing up spots in the beloved match for no good reason.

Take a bow, Michael Cole.

His 2011 heel run remains one of WWE's true Marmite moments. Some folks applaud Mikey for his dedication to the role, whereas others think it knackered TV shows by suffocating Raw's roster under a cloud of Cole-led putdowns. Either way, peeps can agree on one thing: Cole in the 2012 Rumble sucked.

Michael was sandwiched between Jim Duggan and Kharma on the run sheet, and the latter scared him enough that he regretted entering. Fans in St. Louis just wanted WWE to get on with Cole's elimination so they could move onto more important entrants.
