Hey, it's Carlito's dad!

Obviously, nobody was saying that back in 1993. Carlito was around a decade away from spitting in the faces of people who don't want to be cool, after all. In '93, his father gently jogged out as #24 and brawled for seven short minutes before being ousted by eventual winner Yokozuna.

Gorilla Monsoon did his best to take the p*ss by referring to Colon as "a youngster" (he was 44 years old at the time), but that's really all his performance is notable for. Fans hoping to see WWF regulars must've been disappointed that this dude they didn't even know was snagging a spot instead.

That was one of the niggling issues with the Rumble back then - the WWF roster occasionally thinned over the years, and that made it harder for Vince McMahon to pad it out with his own full-timers. So, up-and-coming "youngsters" like Colon had to be drafted in to confuse fans.
