Why did you buy/watch the 2001 Rumble? The promise of a hot Intercontinental Title ladder match? Triple H vs. Kurt Angle for the WWF Title? Steve Austin's first showing at the event since 1999? Or, was it maybe because Drew f'n Carey was running wild in the titular bout?!

Nobody has ever picked that last one.

Jim Ross once revealed via his podcast that Drew was friendly and approachable behind the scenes, but he had no idea what pro wrestling really was or how the Royal Rumble worked. So, the TV star had to gobble up precious PPV minutes by high-fiving his way to the ring, sh*t his pants at the sight of Kane and then eliminate himself.

This was the celebrity guest appearance no-one asked for, basically. Johnny Knoxville in the 2022 Rumble was Shawn Michaels in '96 by comparison to Carey. Some celeb entrants work out, whereas...others really, really don't.
