10 WWE Royal Rumble Records That Will Never Be Broken

2. Longest Time In Rumble

Brock Lesnar Paul Heyman
WWE

Recordholder: Daniel Bryan, 1:16:05, 2018 GRR

The list of wrestlers who have topped the one-hour mark in Royal Rumbles can be counted on two hands: seven. (Roman Reigns missed making the list by 12 seconds in 2016.)

But while the distance between #2 and #7 is just 2:10, the gap between #1 and #2 is an astonishing 13:53. That’s because Daniel Bryan entered the 50-man Greatest Royal Rumble at #1 and was the second-to-last person eliminated more than 75 minutes later. It was a testament to Bryan’s stamina and ability, and it made for a great in-match story.

But this also stands very little chance of being topped. Even if WWE went back to 2-minute gaps between entrances (they currently do 90 seconds), a wrestler entering at #1 or #2 would need the match to last another 22-plus minutes after the #30 entrant (assuming the timing is consistent) to break that record.

So either we get another 50-person Rumble and marathon performer like Bryan, or this record isn’t ever being broken.
