10 WWE Ruthless Aggression WrestleMania Matches That Should Have Happened
7. Triple H Vs. Hulk Hogan (WrestleMania XIX)
Amazingly, the Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon street fight had perhaps the most extravagant build of any match on the WrestleMania 19 card. This was probably necessary to genuinely hype a match between two old men and give it that real big fight feel.
WWE threw all the bells and whistles at this feud, with McMahon in personal crisis mode and Hogan in Hulkamania mode, this was destined to be an overblown war, perfectly fit for the WrestleMania stage.
But there was another big match on this show that is remembered for all the wrong reasons, which in hindsight could have been avoided. Booker T was rapidly growing in popularity leading up to the event, but his World Heavyweight Championship Title feud with Triple H was messy. The racist undertones of the story will be forever maligned, the most controversial moments don’t even bear repeating. Ultimately it did more long-term damage to Booker’s career, then WWE would come to realise at the time.
Replacing him with Hulk Hogan to face The Game, would pit two of the most stubborn faces in company history against each other, with a blistering d*ckhead heel vs beloved face dynamic anchoring the contest. Also, if WWE were hell bent on putting a World Title on Hogan during his Ruthless Aggression return, then why not save it for the WrestleMania platform.
