10 WWE Saudi Arabia Matches That Didn't Totally Suck

9. Seth Rollins & Murphy Vs. The Street Profits (Super ShowDown 2020)

The latest excursion to the Middle East featured some of the most ill-thought-out matches in the Saudi experiment thus far, with Goldberg single-handedly ruining The Fiend and Ricochet getting fed to Lesnar in dispiriting fashion. The event’s best matches played things simply, taking superstars who could actually work and giving them a sensible chunk of time to do their thing.

That’s all to say that Rollins & Murphy against The Street Profits isn’t a grade-A match by any means, with all four guys keeping something in the tank (and who can blame them?), but it’s more than solid and compared to a lot of the guff on here it looks even better.

The teams have solid chemistry, the presence of Rollins (who often goes down quite well over there) elevates things a little, and The Street Profits’ tag routine is one of the best in the company right now. Murphy was underutilised by WWE but the flashes he shows here makes it clear he shouldn’t have been cut.

The match ends with some sneaky double teaming by the heels and Rollins and Murphy hang onto the gold. Even if it’s nothing particularly special, this is a good watch and a beacon of hope on a bad, bad show.
