10 WWE Saudi Arabia Matches That Didn't Totally Suck

8. The Greatest Royal Rumble

We didn’t need 50 people in a Royal Rumble; the 2011 event proved that by no means did we need 40. But ultimately, it’s a Royal Rumble, and even the worst of the events are pretty enjoyable due to the scale, possibility for surprises, and spectacle of the whole thing.

This Rumble features Daniel Bryan putting on an exceptional performance, lasting a lung-busting 76 minutes after entering at #1 before being eliminated by, of all people, Big Cass. Chris Jericho gets the star treatment at #50, though it’s a mere cameo for Y2J who has an easy night’s work. And Braun Strowman comes out the well-chosen victor, an incredible spectacle even for a completely uninitiated viewer. He wins a horrible looking lime green belt for his efforts.

Most importantly, though, this is the match in which Titus O’Neil trips over while running to the ring, and manages to slide almost to the other side of the squared circle. That’s worth the price of admission - if not the entire Saudi deal - alone.
