Initially debuting in 2006 as the leprechaun sidekick of Irish brawler Finlay, Dylan Postl€™'s character would be referred to as €˜Little Bast*rd€™ for nine full months before the powers that be elected to give him a real name. That real name was €˜Hornswoggle€™, an old colloquial word meaning to cheat or swindle someone.

Incredibly for a comedy gimmick performer, Postl held a regular job down with WWE a decade, glorying in such storylines as being revealed to be the son of Vince McMahon; being outed as the Anonymous RAW General Manager; being revealed not to be the son of Vince McMahon but Finlay€™'s son; being DX'€™s mascot; having his voice restored via Magical Christmas Wish; becoming a miniature cow; becoming a miniature alligator; and becoming one of the many men that A.J. Lee was booked to be in a relationship during her time with the company. He was even the final ever cruiserweight champion; the title was retired in the storyline because he was apparently too small and fragile to defend it without being murdered in the face.

Postl'€™s career longevity can best be attributed to a willingness to cover any angle, dress up in whatever costume seems appropriate, and allow himself to be ruthlessly mocked by anyone with a microphone.
