10 WWE Slammy Award Winners That Must Happen

There's only one choice for 'Rivalry Of The Year'...

WWE.com On next week's Raw, World Wrestling Entertainment will host the annual 'Slammy Awards'. First introduced way back in 1986, the mock ceremony is a take off of the 'Grammy Awards' popularised in the world of music. More often than not, the Slammys have been treated in a light-hearted fashion, with several joke categories filling out the awards. The Slammy Awards were ignored by WWE from 1997-2008, until the were brought back that year. Ever since, they've taken place on Monday Night Raw each December. 10. Jon Stewart Costs John Cena At SummerSlam (Double-Cross Of The Year)

Some of the other nominees in this category were a little weak. Does anyone even really remember Damien Sandow eliminating The Miz from the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania? That, along with Stardust's turn on Goldust, are fairly obscure choices. Randy Orton's assault on Seth Rollins in early-March is also featured. Rounding out the field, Paige's physical attack on both Charlotte and Becky Lynch from October and Jon Stewart's misdemeanours at SummerSlam are included. By far, the best choice is the latter. During the match between Seth Rollins and John Cena, Stewart interfered and slammed a chair into Cena's mid-rift. This allowed Rollins to pick up the win and the United States Title with it. In truth, it's the most impactful moment on the list. Fans already knew what was coming when Paige battered the remaining members of Team PCB. By contrast, few could have predicted that Jon Stewart would someday cost John Cena a title in WWE.
