10 WWE Spin-Offs That Deserve A Reboot
9. Tough Enough
We currently find ourselves in the golden age of reality television - if ever there was such a thing.
That being said, WWE were surprisingly ahead of the curve when they introduced their Tough Enough show in 2001, which was designed to produce the company's next big breakout star.
The winners - Maven Huffman and Nidia Guenard - didn't rise to the top of the card as expected, but the show itself managed to entertain fans and show them exactly what it took to break into the biggest wrestling promotion on the planet.
Three more seasons followed, until the company decided to focus their attention elsewhere - after the 2004 series.
Then in 2010, WWE decided to get back on the horse and test some new talent's drive in wanting to be a part of the superstar circus.
The show didn't do too badly, but we had to wait a further five years for a follow-up. A prize of a $250,000 contract with WWE was up for grabs, with the talent being judged by Daniel Bryan, Paige, Hulk Hogan and (former contestant) The Miz.
Again, the show successfully highlighted the genuine struggle and learning curve involved in becoming the next big thing, with contestant Patrick Clark going on to become NXT superstar, Velveteen Dream.
Yet here we are - four years later - with WWE reality TV in the vein of 'Holey Foley!', instead of a captivating quest to get your foot on the WWE ladder.
Surely this one's a no-brainer, right?
