Bringing in Ronda Rousey and not having her fight Charlotte would be a bit like bringing in Conor McGregor and not having him fight John Cena. What's the point?

With the news that the UFC mega-draw is preparing for her debut in the squared circle, the question is less whether she will lock horns with The Nature Girl, than how and when everything will come about.

Rumours last month suggested that the company was keen on having Rousey win the inaugural female Royal Rumble, setting up a title match with the SmackDown Women's Champion at WrestleMania 34 (which seems eminently plausible, although perhaps a bit of a kick in the teeth to the rest of the roster).

We're also wondering what the wider implications are for the women's division as a whole. It seems logical that the company would want to put Rousey on the flagship show - where she can generate the most mainstream media interest - but Charlotte is very much part of the SmackDown furniture. Will she switch? And will the title go with her?

It's blue, you barbarians.
