10 WWE Spoilers For 2018 We Already Know
5. Asuka Wins The Women's Title
It's probably more interesting to speculate on whether Asuka will actually lose a match during 2018, but honestly, that's not an easy question to answer. They could be playing a really long game with the Empress of Tomorrow's winning streak, the type of which we haven't seen since Goldberg. Or "André".
What we can be pretty certain of is that - barring some form of long-term injury (in which case this prediction is made null and void) - she will win the Raw Women's Championship before we bring in 2019.
This isn't so much a want on the part of the fans as it is a need for WWE. It would make very little sense if the former NXT record-setter were to go a full year on the main roster without tasting title gold, particularly given that she's already ploughed through a large section of the locker room in her former life.
As to where she wins it, WrestleMania is probably as good a place as any. Alexa Bliss is fast running out of challengers to bat off, and after dominating the Raw scene for so long, a passing of the torch seems inevitable at some point over the next couple of months.
