10 WWE Spoilers For 2018 We Already Know
4. Cena Breaks Flair's Record
With all the hoopla that surrounded John Cena's WWE Championship win at this year's Royal Rumble, you would think that he has already broken Ric Flair's record World Title haul - but alas, he only equalled it. WWE's revised figure, anyway.
For Big Match John to become the "outright" "holder", he needs one more victory - and we'll go out on a limb here and predict that he will get that victory at some point during 2018 (perhaps once he's wrapped up filming for Daddy's Home 3, or the sequel to the Emoji Movie).
This seems inevitable for a couple of reasons, the first being that Cena rarely manages to go a full year without holding title gold at least once . It's in his DNA, and given the ungodly amount of hours he puts into staying at the top of his profession, you can't really begrudge it, either.
The second is that we really have no idea how long Cena will remain an active member of the WWE roster. He's pushing 40, his body having absorbed a lot of punishment over the years, and Hollywood roles are beginning to come his way too.
He could well hang up his boots at any moment, and the record is bound to be broken before he does.
