10 WWE Stars Already Having A Terrible 2018

7. The Revival

In a perfect world, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson would be given every opportunity to get their new 'we're not sports entertainers, we're professional wrestlers' shtick over. Sadly, The Revival don't exist in a perfect world, meaning there's a fair chance WWE will grow bored of the team's serious characterisation and latch some lame gimmick onto them.

If we're proven wrong, good. We want to be, because a tag-team who blend elements of the old-school with modern tricks deserve to rule the roost on WWE's flagship show. Look at the current booking another way though and it becomes clear this attempt to package The Revival as real wrasslers is only happening because Raw's writers have nothing else for them.

Smashing jobbers from the indy circuit won't work with Dash and Dawson. They're not beefy monsters like Braun Strowman, and they don't have a connection to the casual WWE fan base. Whether the niche audience who enjoyed them on NXT like it or not, it'll take a feud with another team fans care about before The Revival have credibility on the main roster.
