10 WWE Stars Already Having A Terrible 2018

6. Dean Ambrose

Spare a thought for poor Dean Ambrose. Just as Christmas dawned for the rest of us, Dean was hit with the news that he'd be on the injured list for a good nine months. That meant no guaranteed Royal Rumble birth, no WrestleMania spot and the cancellation of his lucrative reunion with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns as The Shield.

The triceps injury Ambrose suffered in late-December ended 2017 on a sour note and ensured the beginning of 2018 would be just as garbage for him. Unless Dean makes a miraculous, John Cena-like recovery, he won't be part of things until SummerSlam at the earliest. Realistically, we won't see him in the ring until September/October.

That has to sting for someone who prides himself on using such a rough and ready wrestling style. When working as Jon Moxley on the independents, Ambrose put his body through hell in violent hardcore matches and barely took time off for injuries.

It must be a ballache that he's been forced into a lengthy lay off after toning down his approach.
