6. Val Venis
There are certain characters from WWE’s past that would never work in the modern era. Val Venis was certainly one of those.
Debuting in 1998 as a porn star, Venis quickly got into a feud with the Kaientai faction after he had an affair with Yamaguchi-San’s ‘wife’, Shian-Li-Tsang. That long-running dispute eventually led to Yamaguchi-San attempting to castrate Venis with a samurai sword on Raw. All while shouting ‘I choppy choppy your pee pee’. Riveting, high-brow stuff, I'm sure you'll agree.
Thankfully – from Val's point of view – at the moment of impact he experienced some shrinkage, and his manhood was left intact. Perhaps even more incredibly, this whole thing didn’t completely ruin Venis’s career. He went on to win the Intercontinental Title and the European Championship before eventually becoming a member of Right To Censor and then an enhancement/utility worker.
Despite his later success, Venis will always be remembered for one thing. His time as a porn star and the cries of ‘I choppy choppy your pee pee'.’
