4. Rusev

Blessed are these lands that this article will get published on 'Rusev Day'.

It says everything about Rusev's relationship with fans that most still hold out hopes that the 35-year old will someday become World Champ. If only WWE would take the reins off, stop booking him in crappy soap operas and let the Bulgarian show what he's capable of in heated, high-profile matches.

Admittedly, this Bobby Lashley business is entertaining in a car-crash way, but it's another mis-step overall for someone who should be higher in the food chain by now. It's not a stretch to say that Rusev was going nowhere before he stumbled upon marketing magic, touched the hearts of people everywhere and sold a ton of 'Rusev Day' t-shirts either.

WWE didn't have a clue what to do with the guy, and he was drifting around from show-to-show without much faith from those calling the shots. Somehow, creative's indifference didn't stop the audience from rooting for someone they'd deemed one of their own, and that's why Rusev still has a chance after countless tag-teams, two love triangles and more.
