10 WWE Stars Of The '90s Who Wouldn't Work Today

Goldust is still very much a part of the present-day WWE product, to be fair, and having been shoe-horned into the Bray Wyatt-Finn Bálor feud, he's actually enjoying the type of exposure many other mid-carders would kill for.

But that's because he is remembered so fondly as an iconic figure of WWE in the mid-to-late 1990s, where - despite some initial reservations - he became known as one of the most eccentric show-men in a roster full of eccentric show-men.

Could a performer with a similar look come in and achieve a modicum of success in today's altogether more homogeneous wrestling world? Perhaps, but to make an impact large enough to sustain a 20 year career with its leading company - without being repackaged wholesale once - is something different entirely.
