10 WWE Stars Set To Be “Future Endeavored” In 2015

5. Curtis Axel

Of everyone featured on this list, Curtis Axel is the one with the most potential. That's not to say he should be WWE World Heavyweight champion or anything, but he's one of the most underrated workers in the company. He often doesn't get the credit he deserves, but his lack of charisma has always posed a problem in terms of him getting pushed. The biggest push of his career came when he was paired with Paul Heyman in 2013 and won the Intercontinental Championship. However, due to a series of bad booking decisions and countless losses to CM Punk, Axel was back to being a jobber by the end of the year. Axel found some success as part of the tag team RybAxel earlier this year, but he was left to fend for himself when Ryback broke off into singles competition. Axel has sparingly been seen on WWE TV in recent months, but he recently resurfaced on NXT. It remains to be seen whether the developmental brand will do the same wonders for his career as it did for Tyson Kidd, but if not, it's likely he'll be released in 2015. As great of a wrestler as he may be, the future looks grim for him if not even Paul Heyman could make him relevant.
