10 WWE Stars That Benefited From Changing Brands

1. Daniel Bryan To Smackdown (2011)

Bryan was already a cult favourite for his world class wrestling acumen and his storied independent past. That didn't do him a whole lot of good on Raw, and his chances of breaking into the main event scene of the A-show were remote. If he was going to be anywhere near a World Championship, it would probably have to come on Smackdown.

That's just where Bryan went after the 2011 supplemental draft, where his humble whimsy was put to use as a Money in the Bank briefcase winner, and then World Champion by year's end. Sure, he was just being set up for Sheamus, but that taste of the main event spoiled his increasing fan base, who would accept nothing less for their new favourite superstar.

There's no YES Movement without Bryan winning, and losing, the World Heavyweight title.
