10 WWE Stars That The Internet Is Wrong To Hate

7. Kevin Nash

Why The Internet Hates Him: Oh man, you could write a book on the reasons why the internet hates Kevin Nash. The main reason is that he's big. Historically, internet fans have preferred to watch smaller, more athletic wrestlers. Those with high 'workrate'. Kevin Nash definitely does not fall into the category of 'smaller, more athletic' wrestler. He is a giant. A giant with about four moves (that's one less than Cena). The perception amongst internet fans is that Nash has gotten very far despite having little talent. Nash, as Diesel, held the WWF Championship for 358 days in the mid-90s despite the fact that business was bad and there were other, apparently more 'deserving' contenders. Nash also gets a lot of internet hate for his role in the demise of WCW. Many point to the ill-conceived Fingerpoke of Doom incident that Nash was the brains behind along with many other harebrained ideas that accelerated the company's death. He also called internet darlings Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko the 'vanilla midgets', which didn't endear him to fans in cyberspace. Why They're Wrong: Nash, along with Scott Hall and Hulk Hogan, revolutionised the professional wrestling industry in 1996 with the nWo. It was him (and a select few others, including Eric Bischoff) that really kickstarted the Monday Night Wars. In WCW, Nash had some great matches and was involved in some very memorable moments. He's also really, really funny, as his TNA run demonstrated. His work with Alex Shelly in 'Paparazzi Productions' is some of the funniest stuff in that company's history. Nash has also proved that he can have a great match when the occasion calls for it, having a couple of stunners against Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and Triple H.
