10 WWE Stars To Replace Daniel Bryan As Intercontinental Champion
4. Cesaro
Of all the misused talents on the WWE roster, Antonio Cesaro is perhaps the most unfortunate of all. He has all the tools required to become a megastar, but has sadly fallen victim to a baffling lack of backing from the company. Daniel Bryan's injury woes could be the perfect opportunity for Cesaro to step into his place and gain the credit he deserves. While his US Championship reign fell into the typical "evil foreigner holds US belt" category, an Intercontinental Championship reign would benefit from a more straightforward aspect. Cesaro has always enjoyed the backing of the WWE audience for his inhuman strength and sense of humour, and would flourish in a role as a fighting babyface champion. A natural first opponent would be current partner Tyson Kidd, but from there the options are pretty much limitless, given Cesaro's amazing versatility in being able to work with almost any opponent.
