10 WWE Stars Undertaker Failed To Elevate To The Next Level
3. Giant Gonzalez
The funny thing about Undertaker working with new signees in WWE is that it isn't a new phenomenon. In fact, this trend goes all the way back to his first few years in the company, when WWE would sign as many big guys as they could find in order to 'feed' them to the Undertaker, all while hoping that one of them would actually benefit from wrestling him. Giant Gonzalez is arguably the worst example of this philosophy in action during the 1990s. Considered by many to be the tallest pro wrestler ever, Gonzalez demonstrated everything wrong with signing unathletic giants solely due to their stature. Sure, he was tall, but he lacked physical definition so much that WWE had to airbrush muscles and physique onto a full-body suit for him. In doing so, he looked downright horrible. As if that wasn't bad enough, Gonzalez couldn't wrestle well at all. People complained back then that the Undertaker rarely left his feet to sell, but Gonzalez was worse. He wouldn't even fall to the mat ever, and looked like a complete fool waving his arms trying to keep his balance. There's a reason that Undertaker's match with Gonzalez is undoubtedly his worst Manis performance ever. Gonzalez made the Undertaker's offense look almost cartoonish, and he himself looked horrible in the ring.
