10 WWE Stars Who Always Guaranteed You A Great Match

10. Curt Hennig

When he said he was "perfect", everyone believed him, because it really seemed like he was. We watched his matches, and it appeared there was nothing he couldn't do and do well. If you were to round up wrestling fans and ask them about people that never won the WWF Championship, but should have, Hennig is a name that will come up, probably more often than any other. It's really a shame that he had to retire in 1991 due to a back injury. Yes, he would eventually come out of retirement, but it could be said that he had to originally walk away in his prime, and that cost him a lot of his momentum. He was never as "hot" for the rest of his time in the WWF, and then he was wasted by WCW, who failed to capitalize on a great heel turn when Hennig jumped from the Four Horsemen to join the nWo. That could have been his moment, but, like almost everyone else in WCW, he took a backseat to the only three or four people that the company ever wanted to push for anything. It makes you wonder what could have happened if he didn't retire in 1991, and just continued on. The WWF really could have used another top-level heel at the time, to go with Sgt. Slaughter, while they waited for Ric Flair to show up.
