10 WWE Stars Who Are Horrendously Miscast

8. Kairi Sane

WWE

Is playing:

Kairi Sane is phenomenal in a miscast role because she is a phenomenal performer. She plays a mischievous heel unlike virtually anything ever seen on WWE television, but, because she is a phenomenal performer, grasps the universal (yet somehow lost) concept of cheating. She applies it so uniquely and so hilariously that she rescued a career that, genuinely, was trending towards an all-time Fed f*ck-up. She is a total joy to watch on what can very much be a totally joyless programme, but she is vastly capable of more than what can at times degenerate into comedic undercard fare with a ceiling. She lacks Asuka's legitimately dangerous energy, and that is because...

Should be playing:

...Kairi Sane is babyface on principle and it's an indictment of everything that she isn't a babyface on my TV screen. A great babyface worker with boundless charm and a willingness to surrender her body entirely to a sh*t-kicking, she has a skill that cannot be taught: the ability to draw a crowd into her plight and make them believe she can overcome it. It's not a typical WWE presentation, but then, typical WWE isn't retaining its viewership.
