10 WWE Stars Who Are In Desperate Need Of A Charecter Makeover

Liv Morgan has a marketable look, and her in-ring work seems to be improving at a steady pace. However, a persona predicated on being from New Jersey has limited upside.

The gimmick is a slight nod to the whole Jersey Shore phenomenon based on the MTV television show, which was popular several years back. Five or so years ago, when the series was at the height of its popularity, this character might have made sense. Now, it just feels dated.

Moreover, the audience has no reason to get behind a character based on her representing a state that isn’t even particularly popular. It isn’t as if kids in the audience are going to be saying to each other “Wow! She’s from Jersey!”

If NXT (and eventually WWE) want this character to get over, they will need to make sure the other 49 states, as well as the rest of the world, have a vested interest.
