Record: 5-2 Number of main events: 1 (2012) It was actually a surprise to see that Punk only had one main event in the history of Survivor Series, but it's true. That was 2012 when he was the heel WWE Champion against John Cena and Ryback. It was the night when The Shield debuted, which led to Punk retaining the WWE Title. People figured that Punk was going to be their leader, but the angle never went that way. Punk had a breakout moment at Survivor Series 2006 in Philly as part of Team DX. He was a "rookie" in WWE at the time as part of a team with Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy. They were all established while he was new, yet during their match he was the one that got the most support and most chants from the fans. It was definitely one of the coolest moments of his career. Another career highlight for him happened in 2011 when he won the WWE Title from Alberto Del Rio. It was memorable because Punk celebrated by jumping into the New York City crowd. We didn't know it at the time, but it was the start of his incredible 434 day reign as WWE Champion. Survivor Series will always be a big show in looking back at Punk's career. It's just a shame we may never see him wrestle at the event again.
