10 WWE Stars Who Could Claim To Be Mr. Survivor Series
7. Hulk Hogan
Record: 4-2 Number of main events: 3 (1987, 1988, 1990) It actually feels like a bit of a surprise that Hogan only wrestled six times at Survivor Series. He headlined the first two, which is no surprise because he was the man during that period. The first one was memorable because Hogan didn't win! We were so used to seeing him win every match he was in that when he lost by countout it was a major shock. It was a smart booking move that led to Andre the Giant winning the match. He actually suffered one of his most notable losses at Survivor Series in 1991 when he faced The Undertaker for the WWE Title. Most people probably assumed Hogan was going to win because that's what he usually did. Instead, Ric Flair showed up and Undertaker gave Hogan a Tombstone onto the chair (that was the idea anyway) leading to Hogan losing the title. Hogan's presence made Survivor Series successful. It was unique to see him teaming up with other wrestlers. However, he was not the biggest star in the history of the event.
