10 WWE Stars Who Could Claim To Be Mr. Survivor Series
4. The Rock
Record: 8-2 Number of main events: 4 (1998, 1999, 2001, 2011) Survivor Series is a huge event in The Rock's career. He made his debut there in 1996, he won his first World Title there in 1998 and he made his in-ring return after a seven year absence in 2011. There aren't many guys that can beat him in terms of all the things he's done at that event. It's played a huge role in his career. Watching him go from very green rookie in 1996 to main eventer in 1998 is quite a difference. His record is helped by his 1998 performance because he won four matches at that event. It was also the night he turned heel by joining Vince & Shane McMahon in what was one of the best nights of his career. His biggest Survivor Series match was as part of Team WWE (WWF at the time) in 2001 when they faced off against The Alliance in a 5 on 5 match. Kurt Angle ended up turning on his team to help the WWE side and Rock ended up capitalizing on it by hitting Steve Austin with a Rock Bottom to win the biggest match in company history...or at least that's how they built it up. The 2011 Survivor Series match was his first official match in over seven years. He teamed up with John Cena against the team of The Miz and R-Truth in what was a very lopsided match in terms of star power. Of course The Rock's team got the win in that one. It's probably the last time he'll ever wrestle at a Survivor Series. It's an event that will always be important in The Rock's career because of the big moments he had along the way.
