10 WWE Stars Who Could Claim To Be Mr. Survivor Series
5. Randy Orton
Record: 7-4 Number of main events: 4 (2004, 2005, 2010, 2013) As mentioned earlier when discussing Bret Hart, Orton has wrestled at 11 consecutive Survivor Series events. His first one was in 2003 as part of Team Bischoff and he headlined last year's event. This year he's not in a match unless WWE decides to include him at the last minute. (This is being written the day of the show.) The 2003 match was big for him since he was on the heel Team Bischoff against Team Austin and he was the sole survivor of the match by pinning Shawn Michaels at the end of it. That was the start of his push up the ladder, so to speak. He was only 23 years old at that time, but you could tell WWE had big things planned for him at that moment. In terms of great singles matches, Orton really doesn't have many of those at Survivor Series. The 2013 main event against Big Show is one of the worst recent main event matches in WWE history. It just felt flat. One final note about Orton. He was in the main event in 2004 as part of the babyface team and one of the guys on his team was Maven. It's not like the heel team was that great since Snitsky was a part of it. Talk about a difference in star power. Maven? Yes it happened.
