10 WWE Stars Who Desperately Need New Gimmicks

These WWE men and women badly need something new before it's too late.

WWE tends to give up on things rather quickly.

If a character doesn't catch fire and stay that way, then Vince McMahon's whim-led instincts kick in and fresh ideas are doomed to be scrapped from screens ASAP. Fans have witnessed this countless times - it's like both McMahon and his overworked creative team get bored of new toys and so start throwing them away.

Chapter one is rarely a problem. Wrestlers debut gimmicks with a bang, but then the writing staff's complete lack of interest/overall direction becomes clear. That must be so frustrating for the men and women playing these personas, but it's just the way things seem to work in WWE.

There are loads of characters on both Raw and SmackDown who badly require an overhaul soon. Their current gimmicks are either failing terribly or were pretty naff to begin with, but they've all got one thing in common: Vince has blatantly lost much of his early interest (or mild curiosity) in them.

Where do they go from here? Who knows? However, trying something daring might be better than sitting still or doing nothing on weekly TV.

10. T-Bar/Mace

Twin pack attack to start.

Ex-Retribution muscle men T-Bar and Mace are on different brands, for...some reason. The questionable erraticism of WWE's Draft meant that the promotion split them late-last year, but the problem is that they've then proceeded to do absolutely nothing with either man. Seriously, where the f*ck are they?

Surely a switch of scenery should've sparked change for Mace, at least. Both he and the former Dominik Dijakovic need to ditch their old gimmicks as soon as they can and try something new. If they don't, then they're doomed to continue working episodes of Main Event and staring at the lights on bargain bin programming.

Mace showed he had some personality when he worked commentary as Dio Maddin a few years back, and T-Bar has always had in-ring chops stretching back to NXT. WWE should either revert both men back to their prior guises or attempt something fresh.

They just can't go on like this.
