10 WWE Stars Who Have Gone AWOL

Akam and Rezar must be considered amongst the most useless Raw Tag-Team Champions in history.

After beating Seth Rollins in a handicap match on the 5 November 2018 Raw, AOP dropped the belts to Bobby Roode and Chad Gable just over one month later on 10 December. It was a complete waste of time, and another false dawn for the once-dominating NXT muscle-men. Since moving to the WWE main roster last year, they've had it rough.

First, they lost original manager Paul Ellering. He was replaced by short stack loudmouth Drake Maverick, and the trio were immediately giggled at for Mav's mini-replica of AOP's entrance attire. Things got worse when injuries blighted their run and WWE's trademark stop/start push mentality left fans disinterested.

Now, the duo find themselves in creative limbo. They're both healthy and raring to go, but they're not being used. It's a travesty that a tag-team once considered one of NXT's hottest acts has been left to rot on the sidelines while WWE shove singles starts like Rollins and Braun Strowman together for short title runs.
