10 WWE Stars Who Have Gone Backwards In 2020

5. Aleister Black

The dark and brooding mystique, that thumping metal theme by his real-life favourite band, some satanic imagery that gave him an edge, that coffin-led entrance which helped him stand out, the snappy 'Black Mass' finish that was both believable and dazzling - Aleister Black had a lot going for him.

It wasn't enough for WWE, apparently.

Mid-2020, Black has been turned into a standard, middle-of-the-pack heel. WWE changed his instantly-recognisable music, stuck a head band over one eye (following an attack from Seth Rollins, admittedly, so at least that had some storyline purpose) and put him in leather tights rather than trunks.

It's supposed to be a sign of progression when wrestlers change up their look, but that's not true when it comes to Aleister. If anything, he's coming across as less of a must-see star than before. His "pick a fight with meeeeee" saga dragged on far too long as well.
