Seth and Roman haven’t really had their big showdown match yet, but when they do, it’s time for them to head off to different shows. The company likely still has big plans for Roman in the future, and Seth has proved to be one of the MVPs of WWE over the past couple years. However, these two have been around each other so much since their Shield days that they need an on-air break.

If the company is still dead-set on Roman becoming a top babyface, then it would be harder for Seth to be also be top face when he inevitably turns if they remain on the same show. There seems to be a lot of potential in Seth as a good guy, as displayed by the great reaction he received upon his return, and he doesn’t need to be fighting his old tag partner for superiority.

However, with so much history between them, they should battle again down the road in big matches (and eventually reform The Shield), but the only way to make those battles feel important is to move the two away from each other for a long time.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
