10 WWE Stars Who Only Worked One Televised Match

It's a kind of magic.

On 28 June 1995, face-painted magician Phantasio worked one solitary TV match on the antiquated Wrestling Challenge show against Tony DeVito. His performance would go on to become internet legend, and not only because he almost killed producer Bruce Prichard by setting fire to the temp Gorilla Position behind the curtain beforehand.

During his match, the wrestling trickster pulled his opponent's underwear clean off (it's not as dirty as it sounds), and used the ensuing confusion to beat him. On commentary, the iconic voice of Gorilla Monsoon desperately tried to sell Phantasio as something special. It was a losing battle, even for the mighty Monsoon.

Phantasio, as Spellbinder, would return for a few house show and dark bouts over the years, but he never wrestled on company television again. The guy behind the paint should definitely take the fact Mantaur and T.L Hopper worked multiple times as an insult.
