10 WWE Stars Who Survived The Worst Booking Ever

9. Chavo Guerrero

Chavo Guerrero never really realised his potential in WWE. Sure, he had a fantastic run alongside uncle Eddie as a tag-team, and he did get some shine in the Cruiserweight division, but any longtime WCW mark could tell you he was always capable of so much more after years of up and down booking there.

Not to worry, 'cause Vince McMahon had a solution: Kerwin White.

In 2005, WWE decided to totally repackage their Hispanic star as a golf-playing middle class white dude who denounced his Mexican heritage. It was like Donald Trump's wet dream in wrestling gimmick form, but it was clearly doomed to fail. Nobody wanted Chavo as Kerwin, and fans rejected it from minute one.

After Eddie tragically died a few months later, Chavo returned to his old ways and forgot all about Mr. White. That, despite the sh*tty circumstances, was a step forward. Hell, anything was a step forward following Kerwin, and Chavo managed to work enough good matches that people forgave him.
