10 WWE Stars Who Survived The Worst Booking Ever

7. Sheamus

Arguably, 'King' Corbin works. No, it's not ideal, and the phoney royalty gag is wearing thin in 2020, but he's giving it a right good go. Compared to recent predecessors like Wade Barrett and Sheamus, Corbin is doing alright, and he can easily work the gimmick for another few years.

Sheamus couldn't. His run as 'King' was sh*te.

What should've been a career-enhancing tournament win in 2010 ended up being the Irishman's worst nightmare. As soon as he won King Of The Ring, Sheamus was asked to wear the worst Halloween costume in living memory. Honestly, he looked like a total fool dressed up like a B-movie reject and banging on about his ancestors.

Thankfully, even WWE realised that the whole episode was a blight on the guy's run and scrapped it so he could turn face the next summer. Sheamus has gone on to become a respected veteran in company circles, and he deserved a medal for surviving this garbage.
