10 WWE Stars Who Teased Leaving In A Big Way

6. Matt Hardy

Matt Hardy is probably one of the greatest creative minds WWE currently have on their payroll.

Yet, somehow he still doesn't find himself given any significant television time, unless he's being fed to a younger star WWE want to get over. That isn't to say that Hardy should be squashing Ricochet or taking on Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36, but would it be so much to ask for just a little nugget of excellence from the 'Woken Universe' every now and again?

Apparently it is and sensing that his time with the company may be coming to an end, Hardy took to Twitter in December 2019 to say that, 'I returned in the most EPIC way & repaid my debt.' This obviously alluded to him feeling as though he had done all he could inside of the company and he even referenced his conscience being 'clear' now that he felt his time was coming to an end.

If Hardy does end up leaving and joining up with Cody in AEW, he'll definitely be given the freedom to indulge in any number of his 'WONDERFUL' characters on national television. However, if he does, Vince McMahon will have lost a truly unique talent and maybe even a potentially outstanding producer.

You sense that Hardy wants to stay put in WWE - hence his constant teases of character work and dangling the aforementioned comments on Twitter - so just give him a better deal/more TV time and I'm sure he will 'DELETE' all mention of leaving from existence.
