10 WWE Stars Who Teased Leaving In A Big Way

7. Sasha Banks

2019 was an odd year for Sasha Banks.

She started well, taking on Ronda Rousey for the Raw women's title at the Royal Rumble and even became one half of the first team to hold the women's Tag Team Championships.

Then things took a turn and after herself and Bayley lost the belts to The IIconics at WrestleMania 35, Banks apparently went AWOL and walked out on the company.

Those reports would eventually be disproved when she returned in August 2019 and Banks herself denounced the claims of her 'crying on the floor of the locker room' in her Chronicle special.

Yet, for a while, Banks definitely leaned into the rumours of an impending departure and her social media game during that spell away highlighted that perfectly.

Posting tweets such as 'there was nowhere to go but everywhere…' and even posing with wrestling stars in Japan when she was on vacation there, Banks very much wanted fans to invest in the idea of her potentially heading elsewhere. In doing so, it would make her re-emergence from the abyss that little bit more shocking and force the WWE Universe to appreciate a star who could have - whether realistically or not - chosen to leave the company behind.
