Finn Balor's impending arrival on the main roster had been rumoured for months, and it quickly became a running gag among the IWC.

Would it be in the Royal Rumble match? The night after WrestleMania 32? At Payback? Needless to say, it was more a matter of when than if we would see Balor grace the main stage of WWE, but it ended up working out for the best with officials holding off on his call-up until the historic WWE Draft last week.

Balor was selected fifth overall by Raw's Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon, putting him ahead the likes of John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns and Randy Orton. That was absolutely incredible as it immediately established him as a big deal.

Similar to AJ Styles, he has a lot less competition on the flagship show now thanks to the Brand Extension, and it can be argued he is the brand's biggest babyface behind Roman Reigns (in WWE's eyes, anyway).

Speaking of The Phenomenal One, many expected him to be Balor's first feud once he was called up, but it might be for the best that clash doesn't come to fruition so soon. Wait until WrestleMania 33 to do an inter-promotional match, and in the meantime, he can get involved with the remaining members of The Club somehow.
