10 WWE Stars Who Will Leave In 2021

9. Kushida

WWE

Kushida is a six-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, a two-time Junior Heavyweight Tag-Team Champ, won the Best Of Super Juniors in both 2015 and 2017, captured the Super J-Cup in 2016 and won the Super Junior Tag Tournament with Alex Shelley in 2012. Outside of New Japan, he also grabbed the ROH TV Title pre-WWE.

You wouldn't know he was that decorated watching him on NXT.

The Japanese star is another worker that WWE blatantly hoovered up so nobody else could have him. There's been literally no thought put into his run beyond, 'Hey, give that dude some matches' - Kushida is treading water big time in the promotion, and it can't be fulfilling for someone with so much talent.

One can see him kissing goodbye to the E in 2021 and either retreating back to Japan like a homecoming hero or exploring the AEW option. Again, All Elite just seems like a better fit for his skillset. NXT might be different from WWE's other brands, but not by much.
