This is an obvious one. There is a #FreeRey campaign on Twitter to convince WWE to release him from his contract, but WWE hasn't made any comments yet. They opted to renew his contract under a clause that stated WWE could do so if he missed a significant amount of time due to injury, which he obviously has over the past few years. With the risky style he wrestles, it's no surprise that Rey is prone to injury. He's been in the business for over 20 years, and in that time he has racked up a number of different injuries. His knees are the main issue, which comes with the territory when you are jumping from the top rope to the floor on a daily basis. There have been reports that say Rey has stopped cashing WWE's checks to send them a message that he doesn't want their money, he just wants out. His recent appearance at a AAA pay-per-view only makes it more clear that Rey wants to go somewhere else. It's not a matter of "if" Rey will leave, but a matter of "when."
