10 WWE Stars Who Will Miss WrestleMania 37
WWE will be without some tippy-top stars come next month's WrestleMania 37.
WrestleMania 37 won't be the weird atmosphere vacuum that 36 was.
WWE hope to welcome approx 25,000 fans per day for the biggest weekend of the year at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on April 10-11. Those people will add some much-needed natural ambience to company events after a full year of silence and piped-in ThunderDome noise.
Some of the biggest workers on the roster won't be there to hear it.
It's looking more and more likely that comeback king Edge will be the only meaningful part-timer at 'Mania 37. If that's not going to be the case, then WWE haven't exactly left themselves bags of time to work with here - the pay-per-view weekender is three short weeks away at time of writing.
You won't believe some of the names that are on this list. Some will miss the event due to injuries, a few due to personal circumstances, and others because...well, WWE just doesn't have a spot for them on the card, or at least hasn't dropped any hints that they'll be involved at all.
'Mania 37 won't be as odd as 36 was, but it could be strange for it's own reasons...
10. The Viking Raiders
Ivar suffered a nasty neck injury on the 7 September 2020 episode of Raw, then underwent surgery on 14 Sept that could keep him benched for a full year. So, in other words, don't expect to see The Viking Raiders as part of some multi-team tag affair at Wrestlemania 37.
It's not like WWE are gonna' run with Erik as a solo act either.
He'll likely be kept off TV until Ivar is raring to go again in-ring, or at least able to show up for promo segments on Raw or SmackDown. That might not happen until summer at the earliest, which means both Raiders are shoe-ins to miss out on those tasty 'Mania paydays.
That's a pity, because SmackDown (in particular) could use them right now; the blue brand doesn't have many full-time babyface tags. The Street Profits and maybe Rey and Dominik Mysterio are the only ones that really count.
